It has become common knowledge that huge flat roofs are perfect for installing electricity-generating solar panels. If you’ve driven down Baltimore Pike recently you may have seen lots of activity on the roofs at Conicelli Toyota of Springfield.

With recent legislation offering greater incentives than ever from the government, the time was right for the Conicelli dealerships in Conshohocken and Springfield to drastically lower their carbon footprint by installing massive solar panel arrays on some of their buildings.
According to Dominic M. Conicelli, president and general manager of Conicelli Autoplex, “it was a no-brainer. The costs got lower and the incentives increased to the point where we knew it was time. It was the right thing to do and the smart thing to do.”
Installation of the panels began in early February, and the array will go online within weeks.
Toyota, of course, has a long tradition of energy-saving vehicles as the premiere producer of hybrid-electric vehicles in the world for decades. Conicelli Toyota of Springfield is proud to be a part of that legacy of smart energy use and now, smart energy production!
