Sometimes we take things for granted, like the ability to see, which helps do simple tasks like to drive or read a book. For children with vision problems, simply learning can be difficult. And for children in underserved communities, children without adequate medical insurance to cover vision care, or children living in poverty, vision problems can be especially daunting and can negatively affect performance in school.
